What Is This Book Club Really About?
This isn’t just a book club. It’s a conversation, a reckoning, and a reimagining—of what it means to be a man, to love a man, or to heal from the ways we’ve all been shaped by narrow definitions of masculinity.
For five weeks, we’ll use bell hooks’ The Will to Change as a guide to explore:
✅ The silent messages we’ve inherited about manhood, love, and emotional survival
✅ How those messages have shaped us—in our relationships, our parenting, our sense of worth
✅ What becomes possible when we question those stories and reclaim connection, vulnerability, and responsibility
✅ How to support and challenge one another in community—not from a place of shame, but from a place of courage and care
Each week, we’ll read, reflect, and apply powerful insights to our own lives—so we’re not just talking about change, we’re practicing it.
